SIERRA NEVADA (Snowy Range)
The Sierra Nevada Natural Area composed of the National and Natural Park. It’s the largest mountain range with a compact relief and it has the highest peak of the Iberic Peninsula called Mulhacen (3479 meters). Built into the Penibetica mountain range it extends from south-eastern of Granada to the western end of Almeria. Because of its great variety of landscapes and its unique natural values has obtained various forms of protection. It is Natural and National Park and it is also internationally recognized as a Biosphere Reserve.
